Are You A Christian?

Once upon a time in my life, I like many today was proud to say that I was a Christian. Yet I was living as Thomas Wilson once described of most Christians when he made the statement, “You say that you believe the Gospel; you live as if you were sure not one word of it is true.” There are many people today who will gladly declare that they are a Christian but will God gladly declare you as His child. Will God acknowledge you or will He say “I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:23. We know that we are sinners saved by grace but we should strive daily to live a righteous and holy life in the Lord. The time has come to stop playing games and living like Christians who don’t believe the word of God. We must stop faking on Sunday and living any kind of way weekly. God is all-knowing and He knows all that we do. As Christians we should study God’s word and live accordingly. We should teach them to our children and train them to live accordingly that they may lead a better Christian life than perhaps you and I. The next time you’re asked the question are you a Christian remember the words of William Penn who once said that “To be like Christ is to be a Christian.” May God bless each of you. Love, Benita
